A 4.4 magnitude earthquake rocked Los Angeles, California today. "All is calm in the city of Los Angeles," said Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda.
As of now there are no reports of damage, injuries, or power outages. 30 minutes later a stretch of road buckled in the downtown Downey area. The 10 foot stretch of concreate was said to have been caused by normal wear and tear and was probably not a result of the earthquake in Los Angeles, California today.
"It was a shake, but not bad. Our inmates slept through it and we had a few calls, but not as many as you would think," Pico Rivera sheriff's station Sgt. Jacqueline Sanchez said.
Thankfully no one seems to be injured and the earthquake did no signifigant damage. But residents of course are on guard after the devasting earthquakes recently in Haiti and Chile."
